World Heart Day in Isfahan -Iran (2023)

Simultaneous with the World Heart Day (29 Sep-7th Mehr 1402), a ceremony with the slogan of “USE HEART, KNOW HEART” was held by the   Iranian Heart Foundation (IHF) with collaboration of Isfahan Cardiovascular Research Institute (ICRI) and SHAHID CHAMRAN hospital, Isfahan University of Medical Science, Iran.

Different groups of people including patients with heart diseases, their families, the staff of the hospital and the ICRI, and the general population participated in this program and were taught about the importance of the dietary habits, physical activity, the prevention approaches from heart diseases, and the ways to keep the heart healthy by a cardiologist, a dietitian, and the educational supervisor of the hospital. The measurement of blood pressure and blood sugar and the cardiac monitoring were also done in order to screen at risk persons and some of the food industries presented their healthy food products.

It is worth mentioning that this ceremony is held annually by the ICRI in cooperation with some of the private and public organizations and NGOs in ISFAHAN-IRAN.
